RanoGaz, commissioned and licensed April 2022 is a fully automated Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) terminal located at Ijegun Water Side Lagos. The terminal is designed to receive LPG Cargo, safely store the product and distribute LPG via trucking. The Integrated process control allows for seamless operations through our tank monitoring system, truck loading & unloading system, alarm parameter set, access control IC–card system, gas leak and emergency response system from the central control room.

The terminal is interfaced with Ijegun waterfront hence equipped with a state-of-the-art jetty. This dedicated jetty and a strategic shared jetty with our neighbouring terminal allows for flexibility in vessel berthing and discharge operation for different vessel sizes. Furthermore, the integrated control system provides data on discharge behavior and properties for safe LPG receipt. With a combined capacity of 10,000m3, we have two LPG Spherical tanks of 54mm thick and 5,000m3 capacity each. Our instrumentation and process automation ensures LPG is being stored within safe and stable limits with 24/7 monitoring capability.

Active LPG Vapour compressors and Pumps are fully integrated into our control system. This enables the Control Room to achieve seamless motor operations with the corresponding automatic valves to ensure coordinated and safe product movement within the process facility. With 4 active loading arms, our ATEX EX cabinet type batch controllers are connected to an industrial grade intelligent controller PLC, this allows for swipe IC-card loading operation with high level of precision and efficiency. Furthermore, we have 80 tons capacity weigh bridges for accurate net weighing and billing to achieve optimum customer satisfaction.

In RanoGaz, Safety comes first then Business next. We are committed to the safety of our personnel, equipment and environment. As such, our terminal is equipped with an ultra-modern firefighting and automatic sprinkler systems, flame detectors, gas leak monitoring system, manual call points, fixed monitors and sounder alarm system. All these systems are integrated into our intelligent control system which notifies and permits the control room to activate the appropriate emergency response in case of an emergency.
